Sewing Pattern for Sports Bra

This sports bra pattern is easy to make – the instructions are written as well as some photos of the steps on how to sew the bra together. This pattern is for someone who knows how to sew, how to use their sewing machine and is familiar with sewing on stretch knit fabrics.

The sports bra is fully lined and features an adjustable back closure so it is easy to get on and off. The straps are also adjustable with elastic and slides.
The pattern is sized in increments of Small, Medium and Large. The small should fit a size 32A to 34C, medium a 36A to 36C, large 38A to 38C. Pattern has been tested for size small and size medium.

The fabric recommended for this pattern is a 4 way stretch lycra – the same fabric can also be used for the lining or you can use a lightweight nylon tricot knit fabric to line the bra. You will also need elastic in a couple of different widths, bra rings, bra slides, bra closure. Materials all listed in detail in the pattern. Also listed in the pattern are places to buy bra making supplies and fabrics.

You will need a sewing machine that does a straight stitch and a zig zag stitch to make this pattern.

This bra is very supportive and can be worn for cardio workouts, weight lifting workouts, walking or doing yoga.
