Essentrics® is a full body workout that rapidly changes the shape of your body through a dynamic combination of strengthening and stretching. The technique develops flexible and strong muscles with immediate changes to your posture. The workout is also known as Classical Stretch, created by Miranda Esmonde-White. It is a popular fitness program broadcast on many local PBS stations.
Essentrics® is a full body workout perfect for men and women of all ages and fitness levels. The workout is low impact, done in bare feet and the only equipment needed is an exercise mat.

Essentrics® classes have started at the Carpenter Park Recreation Center in Plano on Coit Road. Classes are on Monday at 10 am or on Wednesday at 10 am. The classes are once a week and approximately 55 minutes long. The next class session starts on Wednesday September 4th, 2019 for Fall. You do not need to be a member of the Recreation Center to take this class. I will be teaching an Essentrics® Gentle Stretch class that is great for people over the age of 55, those who have not exercised in a while or for people needing a slower paced class. The Gentle Stretch class will start on Friday September 6th at Carpenter Park Recreation Center in Plano and will be offered each Friday from 9:30 am to 10:20 am. Classes for Gentle Stretch are also held at the new Sam Johnson Senior Center, for ages 50 and up. The Fall Session at Sam Johnson starts on Tuesday September 3rd. The class at this center is called Release Rebalance and Restore and meets twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons at 2pm. I will be teaching two new Essentrics® classes this Fall. One at Carpenter Park on Thursday’s at 5 to 5:55pm. This will be a normal full body Essentrics workout doing standing, floor work and some chair work. I will also be introducing a new class at Sam Johnson call Core Strength and Spine Flexibility. This class is for those who are looking to increase core strength and mobility and improve their posture. Great for those that golf, play tennis or anyone who wants a more flexible spine and increased back strength. This class will also be standing, floor work and some chair work.
