Knit Vest Pattern with Stockinette Ripple Stitch

Knit Vest Pattern with Stockinette Ripple Stitch

This knitting pattern is for an easy to knit sweater vest in one size – size small to medium. The finished vest measures 40 inches around at the bust and hips and is 25 inches long. It will fit a size 4 to 10 misses.

The pattern is a 4 page pattern including one photo. Basic knitting skills and knowledge of terms are needed to complete this pattern. It would also be helpful to have made a sweater before so you are familiar with sewing the sections together.

The stitch pattern used to knit this vest is a 12 row repeat – made up of knit and purl stitches. It is an easy stitch pattern to follow. You will also need to know how to bind off stitches to shape the underarm area and the neckline. Picking up stitches with a circular knitting needle and knitting in the round are also required to form the neckline part of the sweater.

This sweater vest is knit with Heartland yarn from Lion brand yarn – 3 skeins. Any #4 acrylic weight yarn will work for this pattern. The Heartland yarn is soft and has a nice drape for this style of garment.

The needle size used for the pattern is a US 9 circular.cream knit sweater vest pattern| Kimberlees Korner back view of cream knit sweater vest pattern | Kimberlees Korner front view knit vest pattern | kimberlees korner close up of stockinette ripple stitch pattern for knit vest | Kimberlees Korner knit vest pattern | Kimberlees Korner

Button Up Knit Scarf Pattern

Knitting Pattern Button Up Knit Scarf

This knitting pattern is for a chunky knit scarf that uses buttons to keep it secure and close to your neck to keep you warm.  The scarf is knit on size US 13 knitting needles with bulky weight yarn – approx. 150 yds.  The yarn I used was from Michaels – Loops and Threads Cozy Wool but any type of bulky yarn can be used or you could even use 2 yarns of worsted weight held together.  The buttons can be placed and buttoned almost anywhere on the scarf as the stitch is open and perfect for the buttonholes.  The scarf is approximately 27 in. long and 10.5 in. wide.

This pattern is great for an advanced beginner to intermediate knitter.  You will need to know how to knit, yarn over, knit 2 together, purl, and knit through the back loop.  There are 2 download files for this pattern – one is a table to keep track of your rows in the two row pattern repeat.

You may sell any finished items made from my patterns but not the pattern.Back of button up knit scarf pattern
